Since AB 481 went into effect in 2022, certain law enforcement equipment are defined as “military equipment” and all state law enforcement agencies need to seek council’s approval and showcase all such equipment annually. For clarity, FPD does not participate in the Military Surplus Program (AKA 10-33 program).
