Important Notice on City of Fremont Facilities Closure

In an effort to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), City of Fremont facilities, including the lobby of the Police Department, the Detention Facility, and the Tri-City Animal Shelter, are currently closed to public visitors. The Police Business Service Department is responsible for providing financial and budget management, payroll, purchasing services, payment of bills and other obligations administering other miscellaneous business transactions and agreements for the Police Department as well as managing Building Operations and the Patrol Equipment Room.

Business Services acts as a liaison to the City of Fremont Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Revenue and Human Resources, as well as to Alameda County for our grant programs.

The mission of the Business Services Department is to ensure effective and efficient management of the Police Department's public revenue, financial resources, and supplies in order to support public safety through law enforcement. Related to this mission are three goals: to ensure our employees have the best possible tools we can afford to perform their duties in serving our community, to assist the Chief in ensuring that the department operates within its annually appropriated resources, and to support the Police Department in achieving its annual performance measures and goals through fiscal management.
