Responsible for all public affairs, the Community Engagement Unit’s mission is to strengthen community partnership and civic life. We work together with neighbors and business owners to deter crime and increase social capital. The Unit manages several programs within the Fremont Police Department:

  • Crime Prevention: Crime Free Multi-Housing (CFMH), Business Crime Watch, Neighborhood Crime Watch
  • Kids Activities: Building Bridges School Assemblies, Pre-School Visits, PD Building Tours
  • Community Events: Safety Fair, Coffee with a Cop, Badges and Boba, and National Night Out
  • Permits: Alarm, Film, Places of Entertainment (POE), and High Impact Special Events
