The Fremont Police Department’s Real Time Information Center (RTIC) is keeping our community safe, informed, and connected. Built to support officers with real-time information, the RTIC helps improve safety for everyone in Fremont.
The Real Time Information Center (RTIC) officially launched on May 6, 2025, serving as a centralized hub where specialized personnel leverage integrated technology resources to address crime. Through real-time information sharing, the RTIC supports public safety efforts aimed at preventing and reducing crime, delivering efficient and effective police response, and enhancing both community and officer safety.
What is the RTIC?
The RTIC is a dedicated space where trained staff can gather and analyze real‑time information to bolster our ability to prevent and solve crimes, support officers responding to calls throughout the city, and foster safer interactions between law enforcement and the public

How the RTIC was Funded
The RTIC was made possible through a $2.45 million Organized Retail Theft Prevention grant awarded by the State of California’s Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC).
