The Fremont Police Department is excited to offer a Driver's Safety Course for students with a valid driver’s license or learner's permit.

Students will learn important traffic safety principles, the dangers of driving under the influence, and receive hands-on behind-the wheel instruction.

Course Information

Course date: Saturday, May 9, 2026

The course will have two session options. Students may sign up for only one session: 

• Morning Session: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Afternoon Session: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Location: Fremont Police Department (2000 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538)

Participants will not receive a certificate or proof of completion for insurance discounts.  The course is free.

Eligibility

• Participation is open to high school students who live and/or attend school in the City of Fremont.
• All participants must have a valid driver's license or learner's permit
• No personal vehicle is required. A police department vehicle will be used for behind-the-wheel training.

Registration for the Driver's Safety Course is full. The waitlist is also full.

FPD reviews all registration details.  A confirmation email, including check-in instructions, will be emailed in approximately one week after registration is received.
