Community Alert Systems

AC Alert

The City of Fremont uses a Community Alert System, AC Alert, which is provided by Everbridge. The AC Alert system is Alameda County's Emergency Notification System and is the new mass notification system for Alameda County. This service allows us to quickly alert you in the event of local emergency or critical incident taking place near you, and provide information as to what protective actions you may need to take. AC Alert also provides options for sending non-emergency notifications to targeted geographic areas of the entire city, similar to Nixle. Nixle and AC Alert are both owned by Everbridge and some data is shared between the platforms for use during emergency situations.

AC Alert is an automated phone calling system that currently contains land-line phone number for most residents and businesses. The community is encouraged to enroll additional information to receive notifications by email, SMS (text) and cell or work number by registering online.

To receive detailed, up-to-date information directly from the Fremont Police Department via email sign up for Nixle alerts at and register for Fremont Police Department (CA). Once logged in, go to setting and select the Alert, Advisory and Community option. To receive text message alerts only, text your zip code to 888777.
