You’ve always had a passion for helping others and thrive in the camaraderie of a tight-knit team. We’ll help you take the next step, through the academy and beyond. We support your continued professional development with an average of 762 training courses every year and Alameda County’s highest police training budget per employee.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work across various assignments and teams, from the K9 unit to our pioneering Drone as First Responders program.

Salary starts at $10,105.25 per month during the Academy. Once promoted to Police Officer upon graduation, salaries increase to $11,115.76 monthly.

Lateral officers can transfer up to 10 years of service credit to Fremont PD, counting toward benefits such as Longevity Incentive Pay, Leave Accrual, Educational Incentive Pay, and Retiree Medical Reimbursement.
